Autapse-induced logical resonance in the FitzHugh–Nagumo neuron

It was demonstrated that the chaos-driven FitzHugh–Nagumo (FHN) neuron can be considered as a logic system to implement reliable logical operations through mechanism of resonance. Autapse (meaning self-synapse) widely exists in various kinds neurons, and it significantly affects neuronal dynamics functionalities. However, effects autapse on resonance have not been reported yet. Here, we explore reliability AND & NAND based autaptic FHN model with time-varying coupling intensity. The numerical results demonstrate there are optimal ranges parameters (including time delay, amplitude, frequency phase fluctuation intensity) at which maximized. Namely, autapse-induced realized model. More interestingly, multiple resonances obtained by regulating intensity, well ratio between intensity external periodic driving force. Finally, an intuitive interpretation for is given motion particle potential landscape.
